Trader Joe's first Miami store to open in Pinecrest

    Cult supermarket chain Trader Joe's is finally planning to open its first store in Miami.

    The grocer has signed a lease to occupy a 17,866 square foot building formerly housing a Borders Book Shop in Pinecrest.

    The store's location at 9205 South Dixie Highway is across from the Dadeland South Metrorail station.

    They have not even applied for a construction permit yet.

    The site plan for Trader Joe's was submitted on Thursday (12/13), so it could be some time before they can get construction permits.
