Met Square | Hotel / Movie Theater/ Restaurant | Approved

    Met Square location: 300 SE 3 Street, Miami.

    Met Square developer MDM signed an agreement with Dade County this month that will allow for construction of the Met Square project.

    MDM will pay Dade a $720,669 fee for a water and sewer connection at the site. The agreement was recorded on November 20th 2012.

    Met Square will contain:

    -570 hotel rooms
    -1,700 seat indoor theater
    -41,000 sq. ft restaurant

    MDM completed construction of Met 2 in 2010 directly across the street with 343 hotel rooms.

    MDM is also building Met 3 which will contain a Whole Foods market.

    I think they should incorporate some type of memorial or something like they did with Icon Brickell. Although something indoors.

    Met Square has applied for a construction permit and submitted the new plans to the city.

    They're taking apart the construction trailers on the Met Square lot. Could be a sign that they're getting ready to begin. They were originally supposed to begin six months after Met III, so the timing seems about right.
