This thread will cover all news about Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.

Lincoln Road is a pedestrian mall in South Beach. Property values, retail sales, and rents are among the highest of any retail district anywhere in the world.

Curbed Miami has construction photos of the restoration at the old Lincoln Theater, future site of H&M. There are also pictures of the restoration at the old Saks, which is slated to become a Forever 21.

H&M has opened a pop up store at 1669 Meridian (one block off of Lincoln Road) in the interim.

Also, currently under construction on Lincoln Road: A showroom for Tesla Motors, scheduled to open this summer.



This marks the return of a car dealership to Lincoln Road - the old Lincoln Road car dealerships left decades ago.

The owner of 1001 Lincoln Road is proposing to demolish almost the entire structure and rebuild with elements of the previous historic structures that once existed at the site. Originally housing a theater, almost nothing remains of the original structure which now is the site of a Gap store.

Apple had proposed building a new store at the site last year, but was rejected by a City of Miami Beach board.

The striking design that is being proposed is designed by architect Touzet Studios.
