Plaza Construction has won a $65 million contract to build the 390-unit EnV residential tower above the Publix at Mary Brickell Village, the general contractor announced late Tuesday.

We should find out soon, it's supposed to start next month. It will have 390 units on 35 stories.
  3. I have faith that this may finally be coming to fruition due to CitiCentre already being under construction about a block away. I had a feeling this was going to happen as soon as CitiCentre came back from the dead.

and soon miami world center is next.
  5. Not sure about MWC though. Brickell is the hot spot right now. Probably when there's no more open spaces left the development boom would flow over north to the CBD.

Yeah, world center still has a ways off. I would think they either need the gambling situation to get handled before they get close to doing anything. Or maybe if Flager gets going on that downtown transit station.

Without gambling I'd guess the vast majority of everything built over the next 5 to 10 years will be in Brickell or the southern portion of downtown near the river.

    We need Miami World Center.

Indications are that this project is indeed actually about to begin construction.

Skyline equities sold the project today to LNR Property and LYND development. Blackrock realty partners will be providing financing.

Lynd built the EnV Chicago is a rental apartment building.

Blackrock and LNR are large, well known and well capitalized firms.

I thought Skyline brought in LNR, LYND and Blackrock a while ago. I wonder why they decided to sell.

After looking at the Chicago EnV site it's interesting that they decided to go with that brand. The style is very hip and modern. It seems like it would be hard to put an urban chic project on top of the mediterranean Mary Brickell Village.

I hope they go "urban chic and modern". I don't like the Mediterranean look for Brickell. That fits better at Coral Gables.
