    Not exactly Oppenheim's best work.

    It was actually designed years ago. The new owner is just using the previously approved Oppenheim design.

    Also, next door at 488 Sunny Isles will be the new Sunny Isles Russian Jewish community center.

    They will appear before the SIB commission next month for approval.

    Architect is Schapiro Associates.

    400 Sunny Isles and the Jewish Center both received approval from the Sunny Isles commisson yesterday.

    400 Sunny Isles is essentially the same design as was initially proposed a few years ago, with minor changes to bring it up to current code.

    The plans for 400 Sunny Isles were presented by Kobi Karp, who is the architect of record for the Chad Oppenheim designed building.

    The east tower is now fully reserved - ahead of schedule. The west tower is now being released for sale.

    Construction is planned to begin in summer 2013.
